JJ Gabriel Sets His Sights on Ballon d'Or Glory Amid Real Madrid Move

JJ Gabriel, the promising forward from Manchester United, has made it clear that his ultimate aspiration is to lift the Ballon d'Or. This exciting revelation comes as he approaches a potential move to Real Madrid. At just 16 years old, Gabriel is still officially part of United but has been training solo in Spain after deciding to depart from the club with his family. While a verbal agreement with Real Madrid appears to be in place, no official contract has been signed yet. After a training session on Friday, Gabriel was approached by Marca, a prominent Spanish news outlet. They handed him a copy of their newspaper featuring a headline about his anticipated transfer to Los Blancos. In English, he expressed his ambition, stating, "My dream is to win a Ballon d'Or." If Gabriel does leave United, the club would be entitled to compensation. However, the amount would be reduced if he signs with a team outside the Premier League. While no formal negotiations between the clubs have occurred, sources indicate that Real Madrid has reached a verbal deal with both Gabriel and his agents. This young talent made waves when he scored a hat-trick on his UEFA Youth League debut and has since secured an EU passport, which should simplify his transfer to a non-English club. Remarkably, despite being just 14 when the season began, he was recognized as the Premier League's Under-18 Player of the Season last year.
